Kevin Clark BIO
Kevin Clark is a composer, arranger, keyboardist and brass player. He is also a translator for two French ophthalmology journals and the national eye hospital in Paris and is a retired ophthalmologist.
He has enjoyed playing in concert halls such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Severance Hall, Shanghai Concert Hall, the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, and Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall. Well-known people that Kevin has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with include Chubby Checker, Sammy Davis, Jr., the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, Connie Francis, Former Vice President Al Gore, the Lettermen, the Platters, Fred Rogers, David Lee Roth, Poncho Sanchez, Beverly Sills, the Skyliners, Robert Wagner, Grover Washington, Jr., B.E. Taylor, B.J. Thomas, and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.
Kevin has written thousands of compositions and arrangements including TV spots, radio jingles, a PBS special, several musicals, and numbers performed by Grover Washington, Jr., Herbie Mann, Cahal Dunne, the Skyliners, Latshaw Productions, University of Pittsburgh, Penn State, and Waynesburg University jazz ensembles, the Beaver County Bicentennial Orchestra, the Edgewood Symphony, Metropolitan Italian Symphonic Band, the McKeesport Symphony, the Pittsburgh Philharmonic, the Pittsburgh Youth Pops Orchestra, the West Hills Symphonic Band, the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra and the World Civic Orchestra. His arrangements encompass all genres of music and ensembles of all types, from monkey organ to full symphony. He is proud to have had one of his arrangements performed at the White House for former President George W. Bush.
You can hear Kevin and some of his arrangements on dozens of recordings from local artists, but he has yet to record his own original compositions.
For the past 30 years, Kevin has been a church organist, most notably for a decade at Sacred Heart, where he was commissioned to write a choral piece for the consecration of a new altar by Bishop Zubik. Hamilton Presbyterian Church employs Kevin frequently now on either trombone or keyboard.
Kevin has played with numerous bands and orchestras in St. Louis, Virginia Beach, Cleveland, New York, and Pittsburgh. He is currently playing with Roger Barbour, Rich Boles, the Bone Forum, William Dell and Wee Jams, the Diamante Orchestra, Dixie Doc and the Pittsburgh Dixieland All-Stars, the Hot Metal Brass Band, the JazRUs Trio, the Jazz Conspiracy Swingtet, the Jazz Express, Gina Morgano and Friends, Mark Priore, Rick Purcell, Pure Gold, and the Red Hot Ramblers. Kevin is very pleased that his 2026 schedule is already filling up very nicely!
